To be fair, teenage Shinji might be more scrawny than adult Shinji, but Aki also would have grown quite a bit. But of course, you'd never tell a Lady that she gained weight, even if she's just four years old. ;)
I loved when my father did this with me, it was awesome suddenly being so much bigger than anyone else. XD
Oh, and as for the bears, they obviously brought them to the car... (or I just didn't want to draw them carrying those around all the time ;P)
