I originally wanted Gendo to do his trademark glass pushing, but 1) Ugh, hands!, 2) his face turned out relatively well and the hand would have obscured most of it and 3) ... uh... didn't he only do it after losing his original glasses and used the tinted (probably unfitting) ones? Bah, didn't care and didn't check. XD
Why Hamburg? Well, it's one place with a MAGI and closer to Wilhelmshaven (from where Asuka set off to Japan according to the Episode preview at the end of 7) than Berlin, so...
